Job Desc:

Sells automobiles and related products to businesses or individuals. Work requires substantial knowledge of items sold.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses.
    • Recommend products to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests.
    • Contact regular and prospective customers to explain competitive advantage, product features, special campaigns, and solicit return business.
    • Present price quotes originating from management.
    • Consult with clients after sale or contract signing to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
    • Provide customers with product brochures, mailings, and catalogs.
    • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
    • Arrange and direct delivery of products and ancillary items.
    • Monitor product innovations and competitors’ products, prices, and sales.
    • Attend on-going product and certification skills training

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred in a related field or proven track record in sales.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
